Student Ministry
Ignite is our student ministry to 7th-12th graders. We believe in discipleship for our students to be strong in their own personal faith while preparing them to be Godly examples outside our doors while serving our community.
Kids and Family Ministry
At Waynesville Community Church Children’s Ministry, we believe in creating an exciting community where kids gather to learn about God’s love, grow in their faith through fun and biblically rooted lessons, and go out to share His love with others. Through biblical study, praise, and hands-on activities, we help children discover how they can make a difference in their world, building a foundation that will guide them as they continue to grow in their relationship with knowing God and making Him known.
Worship Ministry
The Worship Ministry exists to lift up the Name of Jesus Christ.
As Psalm 150 states – “Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.”
It is our honor to lead the congregation in worship each week during our service. All talents are welcome and needed: band members, singers, computer, lights, and sound.
Hospitality
Hospitality has a wonderful team of dedicated workers whom are being receptive to others needs by treating all of our guests with warmth, kindness and generosity. We offer meals on Wednesday evenings from September through the end of April. We also offer meals on special occasions. Every person in our community is invited to attend.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook account for additional church communication.
Marriage Counseling
Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Our Pastoral Staff is willing to listen, come alongside, and encourage struggling couples. By God’s grace couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.
C.A.R.E.
C.A.R.E. is an acronym that stands for “Christians Actively Reaching Everyone.” Our C.A.R.E. Ministry meets monthly. C.A.R.E. covers a wide variety of outreach ministries which include writing appreciation cards to community organizations, writing birthday and anniversary cards to members, providing meals for hospitalized members and their families, praying for our local police and fire departments, school teachers, staff, and students, and a wide variety of other outreach opportunities.
Prayer Warriors
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is committed as a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for our pastor and his wife, our community, a list of church members, any special requests, missionary prayer needs, and those who do not know Jesus as their Savior. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.
We believe kingdom work can only be accomplished through fervent prayers.
Mission Outreach
Waynesville Community Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Each year, a small team from our church travels to places to assist our missionaries in practical projects and evangelistic outreach. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community:
